Chang Lena Magazine Cover

Here, the entire class all made magazine covers. I decided to base my magazine cover off of the famous Japanese magazine brand "Popteen". I analyzed the design aspects of another magazine brand and took inspiration from the layout. I was able to format this magazine using the guidelines in Adobe Indesign.

Chang Lena Brand Style Guide

For this assignment, I created a Brand Style Guide for my company idea. I chose to create a makeup company, making the logo a butterfly to express freedom and creativity

Chang Lena IDP2 Final

This was My Final Independent project for quarter 2. Here I illustrated models in Procreate wearing futuristic fashion and set it up in Adobe Photoshop to make a magazine. I also added effects and shadows using Photoshop.

Chang Lena Binder cover

I designed this binder cover to reflect my interests and aesthetic. I drew the character and added effects and text. The binder cover is supposed to be similar to the cover of a book.

Chang Lena Back Binder Cover

This was the back of my binder where I wrote a little bit about myself and added my own decorations in Photoshop. I also added a price and barcode tag as this was supposed to mimic the style of the back of a book.

Movie Poster

This was probably my best work in this class! The project was to create a movie poster for any genre. I chose a sci-fi genre and I drew the main image on procreate. I than used many images to make a background and used the template given to us to design the movie poster text.

Chang Lena Ind 1 Final

This was my first Independent Final. I wanted to reflect parasocial relationships in a future society, where a celebrity is idolized and the viewer is barely there, just looking up at the idol. Here I tried to make a city landscape and made it seem like the Idol was being displayed on a billboard. I also made her a 3d holograph to reflect the futuristic architecture and technology.

Graphic Designer Research

For this assignment, we had to research a graphic designer and make a design based off of their style. I chose to take inspiration from Chainsaw Man. This is the design I drew up after researching his design style.

Independent Project

This was my independent project, I tried to go for surrealism. I made it so that the character seemed to be going out of the computer screen to the viewers.

Chang Lena Art Nouveau Poster

I made a poster of Wonyoung in Photoshop to reflect the style of the Art Nouveau era. I followed the tutorial and used cool colors because I felt like that fit this idol the best. I made an image into a illustration like painting; like a comic. I used very decorative and radial patterns.

Chang Lena Le Chat noir Final

I chose to recreate the Le Chat poster with Pochita from Chainsawman, Here I learned how to play with different fonts in Adobe Illustrator and learned how to space individual character letters to make them stand out more. I also made the texture seem old to make it seem like a realistic poster.

Food Truck

This was my 2nd semester final! Here I designed a food truck on Adobe Illustrator using a template. I added my own symbols and designs on to the food truck. We also decided to base our food truck off of the anime Chainsaw Man.

Character Cereal Box

For this project we were assigned to study a cereal box and to design one for a character that we could choose.

Chang Lena Illuminated Letter

I worked on designing a letter off of the first letter of my name. I would color in the letter and illuminate it.

Chang Lena Style Guide

I made a Style Guide for my Food Truck in Adobe Illustrator. When looking off of this, you can see all my design components laid out neatly.

Chang Lena Plakatstil Poster

This was a simple Plakatstil Poster I made. The Plakastil Poster is supposed to be simple and modern, like a logo. I made the poster for a perfume. I made it look like it was painted through using the oil paint filter in Photoshop.
